The head of Astrakhan, Oleg Polumordvinov, wrote in the Telegram channel that he was forced to leave his post. He did not name the reasons for the resignation, but noted that "he made a difficult decision."

Oleg Polumordvinov served as mayor of Astrakhan from 2015 to 2018. Then he resigned due to the transition to the state examination of projects. In 2022, Polumordvinov was again appointed mayor of Astrakhan.
