Sergei Fedorov is charged under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code.
On June 21, 2024, Jehovah's Witness Sergei Fedorov was taken into custody in Petrozavodsk. He is accused of organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code)
According to Jehovah's Witnesses, FSB officers conducted an inspection of Fedorov and his wife's apartment back in March 2024, handcuffed him, hit him on the head, and then held him on the floor on his knees with his hands clasped behind his back and raised high. The believers claim that at that time, several books, flash drives, and other items were planted on them. He was then questioned at the FSB headquarters.
On June 6, 2024, a criminal case was opened, and on June 20, Fedorov's home was searched and he was detained. The court arrested him the next day.
