"Sided Rus'" recognized as "undesirable" organization

The Prosecutor General's Office has declared the activities of the charitable foundation for helping convicts and their families, "Rus Sidyashchaya," to be "undesirable" in Russia.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, "Rus Sidyashchaya" regularly publishes news "demonizing the image of Russia," and the authors of the publications "attempt to rewrite history." The agency recognized the German legal entity of the Russland hinter gittern foundation as "undesirable."

Rus Sidyashya (NGO Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Convicts and Their Families "Rus Sidyashya") is a non-governmental organization whose goal is to provide legal and humanitarian assistance to citizens who have encountered violations of their rights by investigative bodies and the penitentiary system.
