"Well, the bruises - maybe they taught him some sense." Police refused to investigate the kidnapping of a Dagestani woman

The police do not want to investigate the kidnapping of 18-year-old Dagestani Ayshat Magomedova, which was reported the day before. According to the police, the investigation "will not be of any use" - this is what the inspector told Ayshat's friend and lawyer, the human rights project "Marem" reports .

Inspector Natalya, who, according to Marem, is listed in the Department of Internal Affairs for the Lyublino District, came out to the lawyer and her friend. Natalya showed a video in which Aishat says that she is alive and well, there is no need to make a fuss. Bruises are clearly visible on the girl's face and hands. However, this did not bother the inspector. A quote from her friend:

"These are your customs, these are her parents, the girl went on a spree, and they brought her home... They conducted an inspection, well, bruises, maybe they taught her some sense. She probably wasn't a good student. We'll send an order to Dagestani officers to question her and we'll get a survey that she's okay."

As human rights activists from the Crisis Group SK SOS note , this is indeed a standard scheme in the case of kidnapping: human rights activists or friends file a report, the capital's police send a request to the republic, and their colleagues on the ground simply respond that everything is fine and the girl left voluntarily. This was the case with Seda Suleimanova, who, according to human rights activists, was killed by her relatives shortly after the kidnapping.

Magomedova is currently in Kizlyurt with the relatives who kidnapped her. Aishat lived in Moscow with her aunts, while her parents remained in Dagestan. Due to frequent quarrels with her aunts, who criticized her for her independence, the girl saved up money and moved to a friend's communal apartment in Lyublino.

After that, she changed her SIM card, but sometimes called her mother so that she would not think that she was missing. Relatives quickly figured out her location and began to stalk her. According to Aishat's friend, her father and uncle sent threats and accused the girl of being a disgrace to the family. One time, a car with men drove up to them, who showered her with threats. In early June, Aishat's mother and aunt unexpectedly came to her apartment, made a scandal, but then talked calmly and allowed her to live separately. However, on the morning of July 31, Aishat's father and uncle broke into the apartment, beat the girl, took her passport and took her away naked. The police squad, which the neighbors called, never arrived.
