A major failure in the operation of information systems has occurred in Moscow courts. This was reported by the joint press service of Moscow courts of general jurisdiction. "A technical failure in the operation of the Integrated Information System of Courts of General Jurisdiction (IIS SOJ) has occurred in Moscow courts. Engineers are urgently performing the necessary work. Additional information will be provided on the restoration of the system. We apologize for the inconvenience," the statement said. The planned time frame for fixing the problems has not yet been announced.
According to Baza, another failure also occurred in the work of another judicial information system, the GAS Pravosudiye, where information on all court cases is stored. Due to the failures, it was impossible to register incoming documents and hold court hearings, since the systems responsible for the audio and video protocol of the trial are not working. As a result, the courts experienced major delays, and their employees were forced to formalize the postponements of hearings with pen and paper. A warning about "website modernization work" was published on the GAS Pravosudiye website.
Journalist Vasily Polonsky reported that due to a failure in the information system, the hearing of the complaint against the arrest of his mother Nadezhda Kevorkova, which was supposed to take place in the Basmanny Court at 10:00, was cancelled. It was cancelled due to the impossibility of delivering the accused to the court or providing a video link with the pre-trial detention facility where Kevorkova is being held.
