The Investigative Committee conducted searches at a hostel on Profsoyuznaya Street in southwest Moscow. 439 foreigners were detained and are being checked for violations of migration laws. This was reported by the official Telegram channel of the State Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for Moscow.
The report states that the search was carried out in connection with a case under the article on the organization of an extremist community (282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), within the framework of which information was received about a violation of migration legislation in the hostel.
Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is requesting from military registration and enlistment offices data on naturalized citizens who have not registered with the military. According to a law passed this summer, this will result in deprivation of citizenship.
