Deputy “foreign agent” of the State Council of Komi Viktor Vorobyov is being searched in connection with his brother’s case regarding the financing of FBK - “7x7”

Security forces came to the apartment of Deputy of the State Council of the Komi Republic Viktor Vorobyov with a search, as reported by “7x7” and the Telegram channel “Komi is Zh” .

According to the latter, a search is also being carried out in the Moscow apartment of Vorobyov’s brother Ilya.

Viktor Vorobyov became the first deputy recognized as a “foreign agent.” The reason for his inclusion in the list of the Ministry of Justice was his receipt of 2 thousand rubles from the UK. As Vorobyov told Mediazona, it was 25 pounds sent to him for the return of a London train ticket.

Later, 7x7 wrote that the search at Victor’s place was related to the criminal case against Ilya due to his funding of FBK. He was prosecuted due to donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. It is reported that the search of Viktor Vorobyov is ongoing, documents and electronic devices were confiscated from him, his status in the case is unknown.
