Due to abundant precipitation in the Czech Republic, a large-scale flood occurred , which affected more than 250 settlements across the country, especially a difficult situation in Moravia and Silesia. Several hundred thousand people were left without water and electricity, many people were forced to evacuate. Against this background, some conspiracy resources called on the Czechs not to believe the information emanating from the government and stay at home, which could lead to victims.
In particular, on the Internet there were allegations that the government intentionally “scares” citizens with a flood or provokes people by discharge water from reservoirs, distracting from other problems and creating conditions for restricting freedoms.
One of the ardent supporters of the theories of a conspiracy relating to the flood is the Covid discident and administrator of the Zdravé conspiracy forum, Yan Tomanek.

“In Prague, in Radotin, the bean <river, the tributary of the Vltava - The Insider> - at the level of 30 cm above the border of the drought, that is, the river is dried, also dug in the west of the Czech Republic, [there] minor precipitation is expected. And right here children are canceled by events, and on the weekend the city is canceled by Burchkakobran day a day <Feast of gathering grapes - The Insider> , and people around me are discussing how to collect a “evacuation suitcase” ... <...> And all this happens again, as during a Covid! People again put their brain somewhere and only wait for new instructions from the government full of meaningless fear, ”Tomanec wrote on his Facebook page.
Later, Tomanec deleted this post and began to claim that he protested exclusively against too hard government measures, not denying danger.

Another conspiracyologist, assistant to the deputy of Yaroslav Foldyna Mikhail Kraft, suggested that the Czech Republic could not cope with the flood, as it gave Ukraine a suitable equipment for this. Tomomank on his resources also criticized assistance to Ukraine.
According to Czech public journalists, the Czech Republic operates a whole network of conspiracytic sites and accounts on social networks, which in Czech distribute disinformation and provocations both in the interests of Russia and, in recent years, China.
In accordance with the latest statements by the head of the Czech counterintelligence of Bis, Mikhala Kudelka, Russia strives in the Czech Republic, including using a disinformation system, divide the Czech society, weaken the support of Ukraine, and also tries to influence the elections. The so -called hybrid attacks, according to him, are increasingly being built on modern technologies. “They strive to weaken the support of Ukraine, to weaken the confidence of citizens to the state, to support the division of society by generating propaganda on all platforms, starting with the so-called propaganda websites and ending with massive influence through social networks and even cybers on the critical infrastructure of the state,” Kudelka said.
According to the local Dennik N, rescuers in Krnov have already discovered two dead, and one of them was in a flooded apartment. In total, up to 80% of the city’s territory went under water. 7 people, according to the head of the Czech police, Martin Vondrashk, which is given by Vinegret, went missing. The Director General of the Fire and Rescue Service Vladimir Vlkchka informed CNN that 10,500 people were evacuated in the country.
