Tesla employees partially controlled humanoid robots Optimus at a presentation held the other day, Bloomberg reports , citing informed sources. At the same time, during the event, Elon Musk promised that after some time they will be able to serve as an assistant in every home and will cost $20–30 thousand.

According to sources, operators controlled the behavior of the robots remotely. At the same time, cars could actually move independently, guided by artificial intelligence commands. Earlier in the video, one of the robot bartenders admitted during the presentation that he is helped by a person, since he cannot yet work completely autonomously.

Elon Musk promised that Optimus could be a teacher, a babysitter, walk the dog, mow the lawn, go grocery shopping and “just be your friend.” According to him, “whatever you come up with for him, he will do.”

The presentation also featured prototypes of the Cybercab and Robovan robotaxis, which are scheduled to go into production in 2027. However, as the Financial Times wrote , this demonstration did not impress investors who wanted to see new electric vehicle models that would go on sale in the near future.
