On October 23, 2024, the Urvan district court of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic fined a thousand rubles under Art. 20.29 Administrative Code (mass distribution of extremist materials) Zaura Tokhov.
On his page on VKontakte, 78 audio recordings published in 2020 - the audio version of the book Al -Kabair Imam AZ -Zahabi, as well as 23 audio recordings with lessons on this book.
“Al-Kabair. The book about great sins and clarification of forbidden actions ”was recognized as extremist material by the decision of the Agryzsky District Court of Tatarstan in 2020 andentered the federal list at number 5112. We are not sure of the legality of the ban on this book of the XIV century. Ancient Islamic texts are characterized by categorical evaluation. However, we believe that it is pointless to blame medieval religious authors of a lack of religious and tolerance, as well as it is pointless to evaluate ancient texts from the point of view of modern legislation on extremism. At the same time, we cannot be sure of the quality of the translation and comments on the book.
