United Russia paid 130 million rubles for the services of a company that develops software that can be used to study the political preferences of Second Sight citizens. “Sirena” writes about this in its investigation .
The documents at the disposal of the publication do not indicate what exactly the services ordered in 2023 consisted of. However, it is known that the software it produces allows targeting election campaigns and assessing the “degree of impact of information content.” The instructions, which Sirena also has, say that the service collects personal data of people, after which it analyzes their attitude towards Putin’s “authority as a whole” and United Russia.
It is noted that Second Sight was founded in 2023 and immediately received an order from United Russia, and 130 million rubles is the company’s only income for the year, judging by the Federal Tax Service. The co-owner of the company is the director of the Regional Platform fund, Alexander Yakunin, one of the founders is the NPO Digital Systems, founded by a member of the executive committee of United Russia, Vasily Osipov.
