“I am a fascist, I am a Hitler supporter.” An international anti-fascist conference organized by Russian Cossacks took place in Serbia

On November 2–3, the eighth International Anti-Fascist Conference was held in the Serbian city of Cacak, organized by the International Union of Anti-Fascists with the support of the Union of Don Cossacks, The Insider correspondent reports.

The event, aimed at combating the “fascist threat,” brought together delegates from 17 countries. Among the participants is the Belgian “political scientist” Chris Roman , Argentine journalist Sebastian Salgado and vice-president of the international organization Night Wolves in Europe David Sikora .

Yevgeny Rudnev, deputy head of the external relations department of the Rostov-on-Don administration, also attended the conference and said that Russia is “fighting [in Ukraine] for freedom, against fascism and for those who suffer from the Kyiv regime.” Sebastian Salgado issued a statement against Israel, expanding the scope of the conference and saying that "Zionism attacks not only Muslims, but also Christians." He also called for a fight against “Israeli fascism.”

During the conference, there were also accusations of “genocide of the Slavic people” and calls for an “information revolution.” The event ended with a resolution demanding the UN, the Council of Europe and the world media to recognize the “fascisation” of Europe under the influence of the West and to investigate the “genocide” allegedly committed by Ukraine.

In 2020, the International Union of Anti-Fascists was liquidated as an NGO, which its chairman Lyubov Korsakova explained by fears of becoming a “foreign agent.” Despite the lack of legal status, the organization continues its activities.

As Korsakova admitted in an interview with The Insider, the Belgian “political scientist” Chris Roman, who is in the ranks of her organization, is a fascist who later “became an anti-fascist”:

“He said: “Love, I’m a fascist, I’m a Hitler supporter.” We allowed him to stay and offered to go to Novosvetlivka < in the occupied territory of Ukraine - The Insider >, where 80% of the infrastructure was destroyed, where young children were raped in the temple and the wounded were abused. Chris filmed the interview, returned to Belgium, made a documentary and talked about what was happening in Donbass. When leaving, he said that he was now an anti-fascist and would fight them.”
