FT: Biden has demanded his administration double the speed of work before Trump takes over. This also applies to military supplies to Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden has called on his administration to double productivity. We are talking about the implementation of initiatives in foreign and domestic policy before the arrival of Trump, who will take office in January 2025. The Financial Times writes about this, citing sources in the White House.

The pressure to speed up concerns initiatives such as the confirmation of federal judges, the preservation of production subsidies and additional aid to Ukraine. The Biden administration intends to prevent Trump's attempts to "reverse their most important achievements," the FT reports. In particular, Biden has already appointed more than 200 federal judges. The FT source says that in this way the president wants to have a long-term impact on the judiciary.

Biden is also trying to accelerate the modernization of industrial infrastructure in the semiconductor sector. In particular, US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced her intention to spend “almost all” of the $50 billion allocated for the development of chip production. According to her, $39 billion will be used to stimulate the industry, another $11 billion will be spent on research and development.

In addition, the presidential administration is attempting to allocate $7 billion for lethal weapons for Ukraine and significantly change policy regarding the use of American-supplied weapons. Previously, Trump has repeatedly criticized US military assistance to Ukraine, and his adviser made a statement according to which during Trump's presidency the US will focus on achieving peace, and not on the victory of Ukraine and the return of occupied territories to it. Apparently, Trump will persuade Kyiv to negotiate peacefully with Russia on terms unfavorable to Ukraine.
