A minor from the Kostroma region is accused of creating the Made With Hate community, whose members committed several attacks.
In December 2024, the Investigative Committee for the Kostroma Region announced the initiation of a criminal case against a 17-year-old resident of the region, suspected under Part 1 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of an extremist community).
According to investigators, the suspect created a community “the main purpose of which was to attack citizens based on their membership in social groups.” In June-November 2024, they attacked three local residents, including minors.
Media reports that the investigation began after an attack on a minor resident of Kostroma at a public transport stop on October 16. The stranger shot him in the face with a flare pistol. Based on this fact, a case of hooliganism has been opened and is being investigated (Article 213 of the Criminal Code). (There is probably an error in the date, and we are talking about an attack on November 16 on two teenagers returning from a film about the anti-fascist Ivan Khutorsky killed by the ultra-right (“Ivan. In Memory of Our Friend”).
The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
