Police raid on a mosque in Surgut

On January 17, 2025, police and riot police conducted a raid to identify migrants in a mosque in Surgut. Security forces arrived at the mosque after the end of Friday prayers.

During the inspection, 91 people were taken to the department. Of these, administrative liability under Part 1 of Art. 18.8 of the Administrative Code (violation by a foreign citizen or stateless person of the rules of entry into the Russian Federation or the regime of stay) two were charged.
