The company "Moldovagaz" began the supply of gas to Transnistria, the local Radio Liberty service reports . Tiraspol also received a “humanitarian gas” from the European Union: for this, the head of the unrecognized republic, Vadim Krasnoselsky, has already thanked Ursula von der Lyain.
Kishenev promised Tiraspol 3 million cubic meters of gas on credit: Transnistria should pay for it until March 1. The local Radio Liberty service notes that this decision is temporary. This gas should prevent pressure in the pipes to a dangerous value.
The head of the Transnistrian administration called this gas "technical". In addition to this, Moldovagaz will also supply gas from the European Union, which Brussels offered as humanitarian assistance. The purchase of this gas is presented to allocate € 20 million, another € 10 million - for the purchase of electricity in the free market. Another tranche of € 34 million will be given to Moldova in the form of budget support.
Earlier, Kishenev said that he requested from Tiraspol a list of consumers who will receive gas under this agreement, but did not receive an answer. Krasnoselsky in the evening of January 31, in turn, accused Moldova of obstructing this humanitarian project and asked for assistance from the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Lyain.
Already on February 1, a message with thanks addressed to the chairman of the European Commission appeared in the Telegram channel of the president of the unrecognized Transnistria.
