By the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court, 16 warehouse complexes of the British company Raven Russia were transferred to the Federal Property Management Agency, satisfying the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the company's press service reports . The court recognized these objects as “transport terminals acting in a natural monopoly”, which became the basis for their nationalization.
The British company disagreed with the court decision, pointing out numerous procedural violations during the proceedings. According to the partner of Alumni Partners, Ivan Veselov, who represented the interests of Raven Russia, the court session on January 31, 2025 was closed at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, supposedly to “protect the secrets of the defendants”. At the same time, companies refused to consider her arguments and did not allow the owners of seized assets to participate in the case.
The peculiarity of the case lies in the fact that the Prosecutor General’s office challenged the legality of the transaction on the transfer of Russian business Raven Russia to local top managers-a scheme used by many foreign companies when leaving the Russian market.
Earlier, the Russian authorities were going to nationalize the Domodedovo Airport after the Prosecutor General’s Office achieved the arrest of DMA Holding's assets. The agency challenged the legality of owning the airport by its current owners - businessmen Dmitry Kamenchik and Valery Kogan, accusing them of concealing foreign citizenship and following the "aggressive policy of Western states."
Sources reported that after the transfer of Domodedovo to the Federal Property Manner, the airport can be sold to new owners. Among potential buyers, Arkady Rotenberg, close to President Putin, businessman and shareholder of Sheremetyevo Airport, is called, although he himself denied interest in this asset. It is noteworthy that this is not the first attempt to nationalize Domodedovo - previously such a scenario was considered in 2016, when a criminal case was opened against the mason after the 2011 terrorist attack, but then the case was closed behind the lack of corpus delicti.
