Optogama, employee of the Lithuanian company, carried out illegal supply of laser equipment to Russia

One of the employees of Optogama, a leading manufacturer of laser equipment in Lithuania, was involved in illegal supply of technological products to Russian defense institutions, LRT writes , referring to the management of the company.

Optogama General Director Tadas Lipinskas made an official statement in which he recognized the fact of a pre -trial investigation by the investigation of financial crimes. According to him, the company found that one of its employees supplied production components to organizations under international sanctions.

The Optogama leadership took immediate response measures: an employee involved in illegal actions was dismissed, the company initiated an internal investigation and actively cooperates with law enforcement agencies. In connection with the Optogama incident, she also suspended her membership in the Lithuanian Lazer Association.

The situation attracted the attention of the highest security agencies of the country. The Lithuanian State Security Department announced a large -scale investigation, during which a scheme for the supply of high -tech equipment to Russian defense institutions organized by a citizen of Russia with a temporary residence permit in Lithuania was identified. As part of the case, ten people are suspicious, investigative events are held in three Baltic countries.

Optogama, on whose staff there are 30 employees, specializes in the production of laser sources and optical systems. The incident may seriously affect the reputation of the company, said the President of the Lithuanian Association of Lazer, Gediminas Rachyukaitis. One of the founders of Optogama is a citizen of Belarus Nikolai Kuleshov, and in St. Petersburg there is LLS, which positions itself as an Optogama representative in Russia.

On January 15, the US Ministry of Justice published an updated list of sanctions, including against enterprises of the Russian military -industrial complex. It included the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation and the Patriot Exhibition Center, captured by the Russian army. In addition, there are several dozen individuals and firms on the list, among them there are Chinese, Turkish, as well as from the UAE. Under the sanctions were the Voentorg JSC, Motovilikhinsky Plants, the Tactical Rocket Weapons Corporation, Laaz, the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Production Association named after Frunze and the Novotroitsky Plant of Chrome formations.
