Former Minister of Health of the Omsk Region Alexander Murakhovsky, lying on the poisoning of Alexei Navalny, will become the chief physician of the new hospital of wars veterans in Omsk. This was reported by local publications. According to sources, the regional Ministry of Health has not yet officially confirmed this information, since the appointment of Murakhovsky has not yet been signed.

According to media reports, a hospital for the military will be placed in the building of the former maternity hospital No. 5, closed in 2022. Now there is a major overhaul, for which 885 million rubles have been allocated from the federal and regional budgets.

In August 2021, on the way from Tomsk to Moscow, Alexei Navalny became bad on an airplane. The liner was urgently imprisoned in Omsk. Navalny was taken to the hospital, led by Murakhovsky. The head physician stated that the state of Navalny worsened due to metabolic disorders, and the version of the poisoning is “finally excluded”. Murakhovsky also opposed the transportation of Navalny to Germany.

Later, the Governor of the Omsk Region Alexander Burkov appointed Murakhovsky the Minister of Regional Health. The official report on his appointment noted that the candidacy was agreed with the leadership of the Ministry of Health of Russia. In 2023, he was removed from this position.
