The United States interviewed its European allies about the conditions for their participation in ensuring the security of Ukraine. As Reuters became known , Washington sent them a diplomatic document containing six points with questions about the possible contribution of European countries to the post -war system of the world guarantees.

Among the key issues are the readiness of European countries to place troops in Ukraine as part of a peaceful settlement, as well as the estimated number of the European contingent. Particular attention is paid to what support from the United States will be required by European partners to participate in these agreements.

US President Donald Trump caused the dissatisfaction of European allies, having conducted a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin without preliminary consultations with them and Kiev. After the conversation, the American leader announced the immediate start of peace negotiations.

The document also contains questions about what actions the United States and its allies should be ready in the event of an attack by Russia on the forces located in Ukraine. In addition, European partners are invited to indicate what additional assistance in the form of equipment and maintenance they are ready to provide Ukraine.

According to European diplomats surveyed by Reuters, the EU countries are now discussing the format of response to an American request - some states believe that the reaction should be collective. At the same time, it is known that on Monday in Paris there will be an emergency summit in Ukraine with the participation of leaders of a number of European states, including France, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain and Denmark. They will discuss the last actions of the United States undertaken without consultations with European partners and Ukraine.

After the summit, British Prime Minister Kir Starkmer, who took on the role of an intermediary between Europe and the USA, will visit Washington, where he will tell Donald Trump about the results of Parisian negotiations. Then European leaders will hold another meeting - already with the participation of Vladimir Zelensky.
