Frolov told police officers that that evening Minina put on silver jewelry and a watch with a spider on the dial and took a handbag with her. However, next to the body, the girls did not find other things except a blouse. “The orientation was set in order to carry out the persons in whom they could have been testing,” said Alexei Choliy, who at that moment worked as an investigator in the prosecutor's office of Berdsk, with the possible detection of similar things. However, the analysis of the sperm taken from the victim’s body showed that the criminal had the first or second blood group, while the blood of Frolov turned out to be the third group. He was released. Then the investigators checked all the friends of Minina - to no avail. This meant that the offender could choose the victim by accident.
On September 10, two weeks after the murder of Minina, another body of a young girl was found in Berdsk - this time in the forest near the shore of the Novosibirsk reservoir. She lay on her stomach, face down, and from her clothes there were only a blouse and underwear. The examination showed that the girl was raped and strangled, but it was not possible to identify her immediately.
Next to the body lay a brown bag with the inscription "Suzuki soprano". Soon near the microdistrict “A”, where Minin was killed, investigators found other evidence-a handkerchief with traces of blood, an empty bottle of vodka, brown women's shoes and a black handbag. Investigators also learned about the third victim of the maniac-they drew attention to the undisclosed case of the murder of 16-year-old Anastasia Fatkova, which happened a year earlier. The body of the applicants of the Novosibirsk Pedagogical University was discovered in the same area - it was raped and strangled in a low shrub, 30 meters from the bus stop. This happened in the region of six in the morning, when people were already going to work. The offender took his clothes and jewelry with him. All three killings were united in one investigation.

On September 11, a resident of Berdsk Vladimir Samokhvalov came to the police, who on the radio found out that police officers found the girl’s body. Two days before, his daughter, 22-year-old Tatyana Samokhvalova, went to the rehearsal of the city day and did not return. At first, the parents were not worried: Tatyana was independent and sometimes remained to spend the night with her young man. But, having learned about the maniac, they were worried. Samokhvalov was shown photos from the scene of the murder, and he identified his daughter.
Tatyana studied at the Novosibirsk Conservatory in a class of wind instruments. Investigators noticed that the bodies of Minina, Fatova and Samokhvalova were found in one part of the city. They made up a psychological portrait of a maniac. “The motive of the crime, conclusion: clearly sexual, satisfaction of sexual passion, sadistic inclinations, hatred of a girl,” the prosecutor Yuri Eremenko told reporters.

According to Eremenko, investigators studied Alibi those who had previously committed violent crimes of a sexual nature or were suspected of them, as well as people who are on psychiatric accounting. Gaskov was informed that he was suspected of three more murders - Fatova, Minina and Samokhvalova. He got acquainted with the results of the tests, after which he wrote a turnout with a confession of all episodes. The news that the maniac was caught reached the media, and the inhabitants of Berdsk finally sighed calmly.
However, during the investigative experiment, Gaskov began to get confused in the testimony: the suspect could not remember exactly how he was dealing with the victims, and mentioned the facts that contradicted the police.

After that, he entered the theater school of Novosibirsk, but after some time he was expelled. Then Gaskov went to Moscow - he entered the VGIK, where he studied on a commercial basis on the course of Emmanuel Vitorgan. Six months later, he was again expelled for absenteeism. However, Gaskov returned to Berdsk only two years after the deduction. Then the investigators asked colleagues from Moscow to collect material on Gaskov.
Soon, investigators from the city of Khimki near Moscow reported that during the period when Gaskov lived in Moscow, they had rape and murder of a student of the preparatory course of the Moscow State Institute of Culture.
The body under the snow
On November 8, 2002, a citizen of Peru, 23-year-old Agnes Carolina Santeban, who came to Russia to study choreography, disappeared in the suburbs.
After meeting with her friend, she went home to the hostel in Khimki. The last time she was seen in the subway. A week later, classmates went to the police, but a random passerby helped to find it.
On November 17, the man walked through the forest plantations and found the girl’s body, powdered by snow. He called the police, and the girl was identified - it was a missing Santistuban. The examination showed that it was raped, after which it was strangled. She was killed 300 meters from the hostel - and Gaskov just lived a five -minute walk from the Studgorod and left Moscow shortly after they discovered the body.
When the coincidence was paid attention to, the investigative-operational group came from Himki to Berdsk-Gaskova was interrogated to check for involvement in the under Moscow.

Vlasova said that the night before, returning from work, she saw friends from the store who communicated and drank beer. She stopped to say hello. A slight conversation ensued between new acquaintances. Everything went well until they ended up on a deaf street - then Mikhail unexpectedly grabbed Vlasov and dragged into the bushes. There he threw it to the ground, grabbed her throat and, threatening to strangle, raped. Then Mikhail ordered her to put herself in order - they went out into the street and continued to go, but now the man held Vlasova for his clothes.
After some time, he raped the girl again, but when he lost his vigilance, she managed to break out. “I ran away from him, ran out onto the road and stopped the car. In one T -shirt, the truth, ”Vlasova recalled .
She did not want to talk about the experience until she saw on TV the news about the maniac who strangled his victims.
Vlasova’s statement interested law enforcement officers. “The handwriting of all previous killings of the person we are looking for [was] similar,” said Sergey Mikhailov, senior officer of the criminal investigation of Berdsk.
Investigators found Vlasova’s acquaintances, with whom the criminal drank beer that evening, and so recognized his name and address - Mikhail Yudin, Oktyabrskaya street, house 18, microdistrict “A”. Soon, Yudin was called for interrogation, but there he claimed that sex with Vlasova was by mutual agreement.
Yudin’s blood was taken on a genetic analysis, the results came a week later, and it turned out that his DNA coincided with the one that was found on the bodies of Fatova, Minina, Samokhvalova and the Gb and the Gbirannik.
Then the investigators searched Yudin's apartment - and found many female things in it, including a watch with a spider on the dial. Then law enforcement officers examined the sheds that remained of the previous development. There they found the clothes of Minina and the Flate Samokhvalova, and another nine bras of various colors. Then Yudin admitted to all the murders - including a gateway, of which Gaskov was suspected of murder. Когда Фатькова попыталась позвать на помощь, Юдин задушил девочку ее же колготками. «Она что-то крикнула, я ее взял за горло. Перед тем как убить студентку консерватории, маньяк попросил ее сыграть: «Я сидел на корточках, а она стояла и играла на флейте, — позже вспоминал Юдин. — Я не знаю, сколько [мы здесь находились], может, минуты 3−4 мелодию она играла. Бах или кто он там. Но мелодия была классная». После этого маньяк изнасиловал и задушил Самохвалову, а ее флейту забрал как трофей. Он признавался, что частенько приходил в сарай и подолгу разглядывал вещи убитых девушек.
18 октября Юдин пришел в гости к своей знакомой Елене Травиной. Прямо в квартире он несколько раз ударил ее ножом, после чего попытался изнасиловать — однако Травина сумела выставить его в подъезд. Она пригрозила, что пойдет в милицию, — поэтому Юдин оплатил ей лечение и давал деньги после выздоровления.
Следующей жертвой Юдина стала 25-летняя Юлия Забиранник. «Юдин сообщил, что перед убийством Забиранник совместно с ним [в квартире] находился ранее ему незнакомый парень по имени Алексей, который “вел себя как клоун, смешил, был как актер”», — вспоминал Сергей Копырин, старший следователь прокуратуры Бердска.
Следователи попытались доказать, что тем «клоуном» был Гаськов — однако сделать этого не получилось. «При производстве очных ставок они оба отказались от дачи каких-либо показаний в присутствии друг друга и в присутствии адвокатов, — говорил Копырин. — Довольно сложно было установить их знакомство». Вскоре Юдин и вовсе заявил, что выдумал историю про Алексея. Гаськов же объяснял свои отпечатки на пивной бутылке тем, что был в гостях у Забиранник за день до убийства.
В июне 2004 года начался суд. Юдин говорил следователям, что совершать преступления его заставлял «внутренний голос», а души убитых девушек постоянно приходят к нему в видениях. Несмотря на это, Юдина признали вменяемым.
Его обвиняли в 27 преступлениях: восьми изнасилованиях, пяти убийствах, покушении на убийство, кражах, а также в уничтожении документов: маньяк сжигал паспорта, чтобы жертв было труднее опознать. Поздним вечером Гаськов, сам уже пьяный, предложил девочке выпить джин-тоник — сожительница в тот момент отлучилась из дома. После этого Гаськов изнасиловал Настю. Девочка рассказала матери не сразу, поскольку опасалась Гаськова. Мать Насти узнала о случившемся через месяц и сразу пошла в милицию.
Гаськова доставили на допрос, однако под вымышленным предлогом он сбежал из кабинета следователя. В Бердске объявили операцию «Перехват», и вскоре сотрудники ДПС задержали преступника.
В апреле 2007 года Гаськова обвинили в изнасиловании — во время следствия также выяснилось, что он заразил девочку венерическим заболеванием. К делу присоединили еще и грабеж — осенью 2005 года Гаськов вырвал из рук женщины сумочку. Сам он отрицал вину и называл обвинения «провокацией» — якобы правоохранители не простили ему оправдания по делу о «бердском маньяке». Гаськова приговорили к 10,5 годам колонии строгого режима. Его обязали выплатить семье Насти 70 тысяч, а ограбленной женщине — 9 тысяч рублей.
В 2016 году Гаськов вышел из колонии, вновь устроился работать водителем и женился . Тогда же он завел страничку во «ВКонтакте» — взял псевдоним Алексей Волк, а в статусе написал: «Холостяк- существо безобидное,потому что безрогое…!» (пунктуация сохранена) . Но в 2024 году спокойная жизнь Гаськова закончилась: его вновь задержали по подозрению в серийных убийствах.
Давние убийства
В июле 2024 года московские следователи изучали архивы и обнаружили нераскрытые убийства четырех девушек — их объединили в серию и решили расследовать. Биоматериал преступника, взятый более 20 лет назад, отправили на повторную генетическую экспертизу. Так следствие вышло на Гаськова — его вычислили по потожировым следам, которые остались на теле Сантистебан, после чего он признался в этом и еще трех убийствах: одной девушки в парке города Подольска и двух — в центральном парке города Пушкина.
