The court in Yekaterinburg eliminated the charity “Roizman Foundation”, which supported non -profit initiatives and helped families with inconspicuously sick children. This was reported by the correspondent of "Mediazone" from the courtroom.
The Ministry of Justice of the Sverdlovsk Region filed a lawsuit against the liquidation of the Roizman Foundation in March this year. According to representatives of the fund, the lawsuit was due to the fact that its employees tried to appeal the results of the audit.
In December 2024, the Ministry of Justice and the police conducted an unscheduled audit at the Roizman Foundation. The departments were interested in the fees of money for the drug Zolgensma for two wards of the fund in 2021. Then the fund collected the desired amount for one child and collected money for an injection to the second. But during the collection of money, the diagram of the provision of the drug changed, it became impossible to buy it. The collection was immediately closed, and the donors were offered to return the money or consent to redirect them to other charitable programs. Law enforcement officers did not reveal violations then.
The Roizman Foundation was founded in 2015 and worked exclusively for private donations of supporters. He provided legal and material assistance to people who found themselves in difficult life circumstances, supported hospitals, social projects and families with seriously ill children. The Fund is named after Evgeny Roizman - the former mayor of Yekaterinburg, a famous public figure and opposition policy. Roizman has been engaged in charity for many years, helping in the treatment of children, supporting sports and cultural projects. He repeatedly criticized the authorities, which led to his persecution: in 2023 he was sentenced to a fine of 260 thousand rubles in the case of “discrediting the army”.
