Journalist and TV presenter Marianna Maksimovskaya became the general director of the VK Video video platform. It is reported by Interfax.
According to the press release, in the new position, Maximovskaya will be responsible for developing the service strategy and the introduction of new content formats focused on current trends and the needs of the audience. The company emphasized that her professional experience will help to implement ambitious projects and "strengthen leadership among Russian video hosting."
Maksimovskaya began her career on NTV, TV-6 and REN TV channels. Her author’s program on REN TV has been published since 2003 and was closed in August 2014. After leaving television, Maximovskaya took the post of vice president, and then the president of the communication group Mikhailov and partners.
In 2017, the Vedomosti newspaper reported that Maximovskaya was considered as vice president and director of the Marketing and Communications Department of Sberbank, but in the end the appointment did not take place. According to the publication, she abandoned the offer.
