In Chuvashia, a verdict was sentenced under Art. 280 of the Criminal Code
A resident of Cheboksar was sentenced to one year conditionally.
On May 14, 2025, the Leninsky District Court Cheboksar found the 51-year-old resident of the city guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activity).
According to the Investigative Committee, a native of the Middle East posted in one of the social networks materials calling for hostile actions to the motive of national hatred. He was detained by employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chuvash Republic and fully pleaded guilty.
The court sentenced him to 1 year in prison with a trial period of 1 year.
