The court in France sentenced the former surgeon to the 20 years, who raped hundreds of children who were his patients

The Court of France sentenced to 20 years in prison, the former surgeon, 74-year-old Joel Le Skuarnek, who was found guilty of sexual violence over hundreds of minor patients, writes France24. Skuarnek is already serving a sentence on the verdict, which was sentenced to him in 2020: then he was given 15 years for raping four children, including his two nieces.

According to the materials of the second case of a doctor, he committed rape and other violent acts of a sexual nature in relation to 299 of his patients, 256 of them were younger than 15 years. Skuarnek committed these crimes from 1989 to 2014, working in French hospitals. It is noted that many rape were committed when the victims were under anesthesia or only woke up after it.

Skuarnek kept a diary in which he described the violence committed, calling the names and age of his victims. The doctor described himself as a pervert and pedophile and wrote that he was very happy about this.

France24 notes that the prosecutor requested 20 years in prison for Skuarnek - the highest possible term for the charges against him. The former doctor fully pleaded guilty.
