The Foreign Ministry’s statement emphasizes that blows on the diplomatic representatives of foreign states violate international law, in particular the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations of 1961.

On the night of July 4, Russia inflicted a massive blow to the cities of Ukraine. As a result, 23 people were injured in Kyiv, fires arose in different areas of the city.

The arrest became part of a large -scale case against the opposition movement “The Holy Struggle”, which was headed by Archbishop Bagrat Bagratyan. According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, supporters of the movement planned terrorist attacks and an attempt to violent seizure of power. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said law enforcement officers prevented an attempt to destabilize the country organized by the “criminal oligarchic clergy”. “This propaganda is not only absurd - after all, it is not clear how and why the prevention of a coup d'etat can be regarded as an unfriendly step, but it also represents the gross intervention in the internal affairs of Armenia,” the statement said.
