John Kurmoyarov is recognized as an foreigner

On August 15, 2025, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation introduced former priest John Kurmoyarov to the list of persons recognized by foreign agents.

The Ministry of Justice’s website reports that he “disseminated inaccurate information about the decisions made by the public authorities and the policy pursued by them, as well as on the Russian Orthodox Church. He opposed a special military operation in Ukraine, disseminated inaccurate information aimed at the formation of a negative image of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, ” and also distributed materials from other foreign agents.

We will remind, earlier Khramyarov was convicted under the article for Fakes about the army and could not challenge this sentence.

Kurmoyarov left Russia.
