Media: Trump interrupted the meeting with Zelensky and European leaders to call Putin

The media reports that Trump interrupted negotiations with Ukrainian and European leaders to hold a telephone conversation with Putin.

The call was the first to write the deputy chief editor of the German edition of Bild Paul Rontsheimer, later this information was confirmed by Reuters sources, as well as Axios with reference to two sources.

“European leaders believe that Trump’s decision to interrupt the meeting with them and Zelensky for the sake of calling Putin is rather a positive step towards a peace agreement, and not negative. The Europeans had the impression that Trump often tends to the position of who he said the last one, ”writes Reuters.

According to the media, a conversation with the President of Russia took place in another part of the White House, separately from the premises where Zelensky and representatives of Europe were.

Earlier, Trump noted that he intends to contact Putin after negotiations with Ukraine and the EU.
