The UK will send instructors to Moldova to train its army to fight drones

The UK will send a group of military experts to Moldova to train the local military in combating drones. The decision is to be officially announced at a meeting of NATO defense ministers scheduled for today. This was reported by the Moldovan publication M1.

A team of British specialists will train Moldova's armed forces in modern anti-drone tactics, British officials say. Moldovan Defense Minister Anatoly Nosatii said that he does not yet have official information about this initiative:

“I do not have such information, but at the national level the Ministry of Defense is implementing projects that will help improve air defense, including combating drones. We have specialists, but there is always room for improvement.”

The fact that Russian drones fly into Moldova during attacks in Ukraine was reported back in the winter of this year. On October 5, Point wrote that several Shahed-type UAVs violated the country’s airspace.

Today, the UK Ministry of Defense announced that in six months it had supplied Ukraine with 85 thousand drones and invested 600 million pounds in the production of UAVs. The department's press release also mentions the sending of military experts to Moldova.
