On October 29, 2025, Nvidia made history as the first company in the world whose market value exceeded $5 trillion. This happened against the backdrop of a global boom in neural network technologies.
The increase in capitalization by $230 billion occurred after a statement by CEO Jensen Huang: according to him, the company expects orders for AI chips worth $500 billion and intends to build seven quantum supercomputers for the US Department of Energy based on its own solutions in the field of artificial intelligence. Earlier, in July 2025, Nvidia already set a record by being the first to reach a capitalization of $4 trillion.
In addition, the company is expanding its presence in related areas. Together with Uber, it plans to create 100 thousand autonomous cars by 2027, which will run on Nvidia chips and running the DriveOS operating system. The partnership with Palantir is aimed at developing AI tools for automating business processes. For example, Lowe's is creating a digital copy of its global logistics operations to streamline deliveries and reduce costs. In collaboration with Siemens, Nvidia introduced “digital twin” technology for factories to design, monitor and manage production.
However, Bloomberg experts note that financial flows in the AI industry increasingly resemble a vicious circle of investments. Analysts say Nvidia is investing heavily in OpenAI, Oracle, AMD and Microsoft, and these companies, in turn, are publicly announcing investments in Nvidia itself. This exchange of capital creates a self-sustaining growth effect that some observers compare to a financial pyramid.
