Pianist and composer Levon (Leonty) Oganezov died at the age of 85 in the USA. This was reported on his Facebook page.
“It is with deep regret that we inform you that yesterday, December 13, Leonty Sarkisovich Oganezov died after a long battle with cancer. For his many fans, he will be remembered for his virtuosity and sparkling humor. For us, he will forever remain a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law and best friend. Details about the farewell will be published later,” the message says.
Oganezov created music for films, was a presenter in several television shows, and collaborated with many famous artists, including Klavdia Shulzhenko, Valentina Tolkunova, Joseph Kobzon, Andrei Mironov. He continued to give concerts until 2024.
