The Russian Ministry of Defense has approved a new list of diseases, the presence of which cannot sign a contract for military service during the period of mobilization. The corresponding order, signed on December 20, appeared on the portal of legal acts the day before. The new list includes, in particular, diabetes mellitus and the consequences of a number of fractures.
The list was expanded from 26 to 35 diseases, notes the RBC publication. Among them:
The latest version of the list of diseases that prohibit contract service was dated September 2023.
The published order concerns citizens recognized as partially fit for service. It prohibits military registration and enlistment offices from concluding contracts with them if they have any disease from the list. The document does not mention the possibility of dismissal from the army during the period of mobilization of active military personnel with similar diagnoses.
