Security forces staged a raid on the Eclipse nightclub in Moscow. Visitors are suspected of "Satanism"

Security forces disrupted the birthday party of the black metal band “Uncleanness,” which was held at the Moscow nightclub Eclipse. This was reported by REN-TV , Izvestia and the Telegram channel “112” , which is close to the security forces. Security forces detained 10 participants of the event and the organizer.

The reports claim that the club hall was decorated with pentagrams, crosses and skulls, which security forces considered “prohibited symbols.” In a video filmed by security forces, one of the musicians of the group “Evil Spirits” says that they “play mainly about the morgue.”

In the summer of 2025, the Supreme Court declared the non-existent “International Satanism Movement” extremist. Due to the legal uncertainty of this decision, it allows, if desired, to declare “extremist symbols”, in fact, any objects associated with Satanism, including skulls, skeletons, images of goat heads, pentagrams and other “devilish” paraphernalia. In the fall, security forces prevented the holding of the Necrocomiccon cosplay festival: the police checked the documents of the participants, banned the presence of minors at the site, and as a result, the authorities of St. Petersburg revoked permission to hold the festival, after which it had to be closed early.
