The FSB Public Relations Center (PSC) named the names of three suspects in the attempt on the life of the deputy head of the GRU, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev. TASS and Izvestia write about this.
According to the intelligence service, the direct perpetrator of the assassination attempt is named Lubomir Korba, born in 1960. He is a citizen of Russia. He was detained in Dubai with the assistance of the UAE police and extradited. The FSB Central Operations Center published a video of its delivery to Moscow.
Russian citizens Viktor Vasin, born in 1959, and Zinaida Serebritskaya, born in 1971, were named as accomplices of the assassination attempt. Vasin was detained in Moscow, Serebritskaya, according to the special services, managed to leave for Ukraine.
The arrest of two people in connection with the attempt on Alekseev’s life was reported the day before. Alekseev himself had already regained consciousness after the operation. The assassination attempt occurred on the morning of February 6. The killer waylaid Alekseev on the landing of a house on Volokolamsk Highway on his way to work and shot him several times. Alekseev received injuries to his limbs, abdomen and chest, which caused significant blood loss, and he was taken to intensive care.
