In Cherepovets, a case was brought to court under Art. 280 Criminal Code

On April 2, 2026, the Cherepovets City Court received a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities).

The person involved in the case, a 49-year-old resident of Cherepovets, according to investigators, in December 2023 publicly posted under a post in one of the communities on a social network a comment against natives of the Caucasus and Central Asia, containing a call to “exterminate” them “with the help of fire.”
