Alla Pugacheva fan festival in Moscow canceled after denunciation

The annual Pugachev Spring festival, which brings together fans of singer Alla Pugacheva, was canceled after complaints from serial informer Vitaly Borodin. This was stated by the producer of the project Andrey Krasnobaev.

“This year’s festival was actually canceled due to pressure from social activists. Ask Borodin how this happened. We have not yet come up with an alternative to the event,” he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

The art festival “Pugachev Spring” was supposed to take place on April 15 in Moscow. It is dedicated to the singer’s birthday. The project’s social networks explain that it is organized by fans of Pugacheva’s work in order to “unite participants in the fan movement.” The festival group has 10 thousand subscribers on the VKontakte social network.

Earlier, Vitaly Borodin, a serial informer and head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption, addressed the Prosecutor General’s Office with a demand to cancel the “Pugachev Spring,” Kommersant notes. In an interview with Gazeta.ru, he said that the event should be canceled “for the safety of people.”

“Both fans and ill-wishers can come and fight. Our task is to prevent such things from happening. Pugacheva is like a red rag. Many are demanding that it be removed everywhere and not shown again. Therefore, this event must be approached responsibly. Those responsible for the concert must understand that it can cause harm. Pugacheva herself is not there, God forbid, some kind of provocation happens, there will be consequences. We are worried about the safety of citizens,” he asserted.

Vitaly Borodin has previously repeatedly called for Alla Pugacheva to be recognized as a “foreign agent”; he also regularly writes appeals to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to check artists and journalists. For example, after his denunciations, the concert of the leader of the group “Accident” was canceled , and comedian Artemy Ostanin was sentenced to a real prison term. He also wrote complaints about the publication “Project” , comedian Alexander Gudkov , singer Valery Meladze and others.
