In Tuapse, after a drone attack, a gas filling station, which supplies 60% of homes with gas, burned down

In the city of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory, which has been under attack by Ukrainian drones for several weeks, a gas filling station was destroyed. As reported in a report by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, OJSC Tuapsegorgaz spoke about this. It is noted that the entire liquefied gas tank farm has been destroyed and there is no way to deliver gas to gas tanks (special tanks) of apartment buildings.

The Post-edition writes that the gas filling station, located next to the oil refinery, completely burned down on the night of April 29. “60% of Tuapse and the region are still using liquefied [imported] gas. On ours, we are the only supplier today,” said Rustam Ashkhamakhov, General Director of Tuapsegorgaz. Thus, more than half of the houses in the Tuapse region are at risk of being left without gas.

The tanks connected to homes are filled about once a month, so the supplies there now will last for some time. At the same time, it is noted that in different houses the filling took place on different days, and accordingly, the volumes of these reserves vary.

Ashkhamakhov found it difficult to say when it would be possible to restore supplies: “We don’t yet understand how much time and what costs are needed.” So far, employees of the gas filling station cannot enter its territory, since a fire continues in the area of ​​the refinery.

Rossiyskaya Gazeta also reports that due to the UAV attack, the water pumping station, which is located on the territory of the refinery and supplies water to residents of 30 streets in the city, was cut off. Today the renovation work has been completed. The systems are now being filled, and water will gradually begin to flow to consumers as pressure increases.

Drone attacks on Tuapse have continued since April 16. Rosneft's oil refinery and marine terminal were attacked. Residents of the resort town are exposed to toxic combustion products, and “oil rain” falls—precipitation mixed with oil combustion products. According to measurements from Rospotrebnadzor on the evening of April 21, the concentration of benzene, xylene and soot in the air exceeds the maximum permissible values ​​by two to three times. Schools and kindergartens were closed in the city.
