This is not the first conviction of Artem Buchin.
The Central District Military Court sentenced Artem Buchin, a participant in the war against Ukraine from the Perm Territory, to life imprisonment. He was found guilty of murder and rape of his 26-year-old ex-wife and her seven-year-old daughter. E1 writes about this with reference to a source.
"Idel.Realii" probably discovered the case file on the court's website. The name of the convicted person is hidden from it, but it is said that the verdict was announced on May 25.
“Mediazona” recalls that on August 29, 2024, in the city of Chusovoy, Perm Territory, the bodies of a woman and a child with signs of violent death were found in an apartment. Artem Buchin was detained in this case two days later.
The publication Baza wrote that Buchin could commit murder out of jealousy, believing that the woman he was dating was cheating on him while he was at war. At the end of August, the military man was on leave due to injury and was preparing to be sent back to the front.
This is not Buchin's first conviction. In 2018, he received a sentence in a robbery case, and in 2023 he was given 20 years in a maximum security colony on charges of murder and rape of a nurse, writes Mediazona. However, instead of serving his sentence, Buchin signed a contract and went to war.
Some media reported that he was recruited by the Wagner PMC, but the PMC denied this, saying that the recruitment of prisoners “was stopped by the company long before Artyom Buchin could sign the contract.” ASTRA clarifies that he signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense in August 2023.
