From July 10 to 19, Suzdal will host the Second Denis Matsuev Summer Festival, the country's largest open-air classical music festival.
The Putin Cultural Initiatives Fund allocated a grant of 80 million rubles for its implementation. Taking into account co-financing, the total cost of the festival amounted to 202 million rubles.
Moreover, last year the same fund allocated 28 million rubles for the Denis Matsuev festival. The reason for this sharp increase in expenses is not specified.
The grant application states that “Russia remains one of the few countries that preserves traditional values,” and the purpose of the festival is “to promote traditional values and patriotic education.”
“By organizing an invitation to the concert for participants and veterans of a special military operation, we contribute to the solution of important tasks for their social rehabilitation,” the organizers said.
