The court sentenced to 10 years in prison a stepfather who stabbed to death his stepson, who came on leave from the war in Ukraine | Argument

The Sobinsky City Court of the Vladimir Region issued a verdict against a 62-year-old resident of the village of Zarechnoye.

According to investigators, a conflict arose between the stepfather and his wife’s 22-year-old son from a previous marriage, who returned from the war with Ukraine.

During the quarrel, the stepfather, while intoxicated, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his stepson multiple times in the chest and stomach. The soldier died on the spot from a penetrating wound to the heart.

“In addition, the accused stabbed the deceased’s common-law wife in the chest, who tried to protect her husband, causing serious injury. Fearing responsibility, the attacker tried to escape, but was detained by officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs who quickly arrived at the scene of the crime,” the prosecutor’s office said.
