Security forces opened a criminal case under the article of hooliganism against two teenagers aged 15 and 16 years old who attacked a mosque in Vladimir. They were detained, one of them was taken into custody, reports “Chesnok” with reference to the press service of the Investigative Committee.
One of the parishioners said that at night two masked teenagers approached the building and began to break out the windows with stones, while filming what was happening on video. He suggests that this is not just hooliganism, but a crime motivated by religious hatred.
Cases of far-right violence are regularly recorded in the Vladimir region, and teenagers are especially susceptible to radicalization. Thus, in March, security forces opened a case against four teenagers who beat foreigners and then published videos of the attacks on social networks, accompanied by Nazi symbols. Prior to this, the court sentenced four more people who beat foreigners for their “non-Slavic appearance.”
