The Central Election Commission of Armenia has approved the final results of the elections to the National Assembly. The CEC meeting was broadcast by the state agency Armenpress. According to the published results, the following people entered parliament:
The Prosperous Armenia Party of pro-Russian businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, according to the final results, received 3.9893% of the votes and did not overcome the four percent threshold established by law.
Turnout in the elections held on June 7 was 58.9% (1,476,769 people). A total of 19 forces took part in the elections. The votes received by parties and blocs that did not overcome the four percent threshold will be redistributed among the forces that entered parliament. Thus, the Civil Contract party will retain a majority in parliament and will be able to independently form a government.
