Iran resumed oil exports for the first time in two months

Iran exported its first shipments of crude oil in two months after reaching an agreement with the United States to end the American naval blockade. This was reported by CNN with reference to data from the company TankerTrackers, which monitors maritime transport.

According to the company, confirmed by satellite imagery, at least two supertankers of the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) crossed the US blockade line. There were about 3.8 million barrels of oil on board the ships.

The resumption of supplies came after Washington and Tehran announced a framework agreement aimed at ending the US blockade of Iranian ports.

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz is partially open as part of the agreements reached. He later clarified that the strait will be officially opened after the signing of an agreement in Geneva, which is scheduled for Friday.
