As a result of the hurricane in the Sverdlovsk region, at least 16 people were injured, reports the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The hurricane hit the Sverdlovsk region on the evening of June 22.
According to the department, as of 6 a.m. local time, 99 private residential buildings were damaged, of which 32 were completely destroyed. More than 4 thousand houses were left without electricity. In addition, 25 cars and 15 power lines were damaged.
The city of Kushva suffered the most. The authorities declared a state of emergency and set up one temporary accommodation center. The city continues to eliminate the consequences of the tornado. On the morning of April 23, power supply was restored in 3 thousand houses.

A significant portion of the debris and fallen trees have already been cleared from the streets, the water supply has been restored, but in some areas the gas has been temporarily turned off for safety reasons. Energy workers are restoring networks and connecting consumers via backup lines. Power supply to social facilities, including city and children's hospitals, is provided by generators.
According to the publication, the hurricane also affected the city of Turinsk, where part of the roof of a shopping center was torn off. Work to restore communications continues in the city.
Forecasters do not rule out the formation of another tornado in the Sverdlovsk region.
