The creator of the “School of Life” was sentenced in Krasnodar

On June 25, 2026, it became known that Oleg Garmash, the head of the School of Life organization, had been convicted.

The Prikubansky District Court of Krasnodar found him guilty under Part 1 of Art. 239 of the Criminal Code (creation of a religious or public association, the activities of which involve violence against citizens or other harm to their health), paragraph “a”, part 3 of Art. 131 of the Criminal Code (rape of a minor) and paragraph “a”, part 3 of Art. 132 of the Criminal Code (violent acts of a sexual nature against a minor) and imposed a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 20 years to be served in a maximum security colony, with restriction of freedom for a period of 3 years, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to working with children for a period of 20 years.

Let us remind you that Garmash was detained in December 2024. According to investigators, in 2005, the defendant created a religious association, attracted new members to it, held meetings in Krasnodar and Absheron and distributed literature where he preached “the denial of generally accepted values ​​of morality and morality,” implanted a cult of his own personality and exerted psychological pressure on followers, forbidding them to communicate with relatives. There were 25 people in the organization. Two followers from September 2011 to May 2014 were minors.
