The Krasnodar region suffered a large-scale drone attack at night, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said . According to him, as a result of falling drone debris, several private houses in the Trudobelikovsky farm were damaged and one person was injured. Residential buildings, a power line and a gas pipe were also damaged in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, one person died. A fire broke out on the territory of a local oil refinery. The mayor did not provide other details.
The NASA Firms satellite monitoring system, the data of which was analyzed by The Insider, recorded a large zone of thermal anomalies in the area of the Slavyansk Oil Refinery. The service map shows a dense cluster of outbreaks in and near the industrial zone. The intensity of thermal radiation corresponds to intense combustion.
The Slavyansk Refinery LLC Slavyansk EKO processes about 4–5 million tons of oil per year and accounts for about 9% of the volume of oil refining in the Southern Federal District. The company produces, in particular, naphtha, vacuum gas oil, fuel oil, marine fuel and other petroleum products. A significant part of its products was exported, which was facilitated by its proximity to the Black Sea ports.

The defeat of the plant in the second region was not known before Zelensky’s message. The governor of the Yaroslavl region, Mikhail Evraev, warned at night about the unmanned danger and the temporary closure of the road at the exit towards Moscow, but did not report the consequences of the attack.
The Slavyansk oil refinery has already been repeatedly attacked by drones. In March 2024, after a drone fell, a fire broke out on the territory of the plant; in April, the plant partially stopped work after a new attack. In May of the same year, the plant was again stopped after several drones fell on its territory.
Against the background of the attacks, personnel problems began at the enterprise: as the publication “That’s So” wrote, in April 2024, the Slavyansky Refinery began to actively look for new employees, posting more than 120 vacancies, about half of which were related to the technical support of the plant.
