Press service of the head of Tatarstan
Unknown persons hacked the website of the special economic zone "Alabuga", located in Tatarstan, according to one of the archived copies of the official page dated June 27, which was discovered by The Insider. A message temporarily appeared on it on behalf of the underground organization “Black Spark”, which claims that it “infiltrated the UAV production”:
“We worked within the system for several months. During this time, we downloaded the database of all employees, their relatives, places of residence, supply chains, etc.”
According to unknown persons, they also left “hundreds of surprises in fresh batches of geraniums,” including in preparation for launch, these drones will “explode,” the report says:
“This is our answer to getting 15-year-old kids to build killer drones. And in Alabuga they are just proud of this. We already have lists of everyone involved. Some, after a short conversation, agreed to help us get into production. There’s a lot of commotion in Alabuga now, their servers had to be physically shut down, and the FSB is checking everyone who might be involved in penetrating the system.”

This claim cannot be independently verified. Representatives of the Alabuga SEZ did not comment. The site is currently working properly.
The special economic zone "Alabuga" is located in the Yelabuga region of Tatarstan. Before the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, it developed as an industrial site with foreign residents and its own educational project, Alabuga Polytech. After the departure of some foreign companies and a shortage of personnel, the management of the SEZ relied on defense orders.
On the territory of Alabuga they launched the production of attack drones of the Shahed type, which in Russia are called “Geran-2” and are used for attacks in Ukraine. According to journalists and human rights activists, Alabuga Polytech students were recruited to work in production.
Against the backdrop of defense orders, the Yelabuga region became the leader in Tatarstan in terms of salaries: over the year, average earnings at large and medium-sized enterprises in the region increased by 72% and reached 217 thousand rubles. Due to its drone production, Alabuga has already become the target of Ukrainian attacks: in April 2024, drones struck a complex of dormitories for employees and students associated with the production of UAVs.
