Berlinale distributed prizes The Golden Bear-the main prize of the 64th Berlin International Film Festival-was awarded to the Chinese director Inan Diao for the thriller "Black Coal, Thin Ice" (Bai Ri Yan Huo). It tells about a policeman who in the late 1990s is investigating mysterious murders in northern China and falls in love with the suspect. The Black Coal, Thin Ice, which had rusted in the film, received the main role of Liao Fan for the best acting.
