In the university science of the West, connotation and the content of the concept of “orientalism” changed dramatically several decades ago under the influence of the main intellectual bestseller Edward Said - the book “Orientalism” (1978). If before orientalism was understood by something inspired by the East and romantically fragrant with overseas spices, then from the end of the twentieth century they tried to look at it soberly and critically.

On February 18 and 19, in Perm, in the space of the Private Philharmonic “Triumph”, shows “ Close your eyes” , staged by choreographer Anna Abalikhina and the playwright Ilya Kukharenko, with the participation of vocalists of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater and invited performers, will be held.
