What to do? Part 3
In society What to do? Part 3 November 23, 2006 George Satarov Previous articles of this series were devoted to the substantiation of two theses underlying the proposed answers. For justifications, I send you to these articles , and I repeat the theses for convenience here. First.

Trading for individuals
What needs to be done if you don’t like the existing liberal democrats? That's right: gather your people and “appoint” them as liberals. Recently, a congress of the Free Russia party was held behind closed doors. Now on the political horizon of the fatherland there are already three “Russias”: United (supposedly centrists), Fair (supposedly leftists) and Free (supposedly liberals). Even in the names one can feel one hand.

We only have one mimosa left
Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Netherlands at a meeting with Rosselkhoznadzor announced that in December the Netherlands will stop supplies of all crop products to Russia. The Dutch explain their decision by saying that they cannot bring their products to meet Russian phytosanitary requirements.

They want to close the loophole
According to the latest version of the Law of Return, a Jew is one who was born of a Jewish mother and has not converted to another religion, as well as a person who has converted to Judaism. Now the rabbinate proposes that people who converted to Judaism should not be considered Jews. The Orthodox do not want to recognize as Jews those who converted within the Conservative and Reform Judaism found in Europe and especially the United States.

Apology and explanation (Address to the Moscow leadership of the Yabloko party)
“Similar interests in themselves still do not create social relationships; two dogs can be the same interested in the dice, and the result there will be a fight" A.R. Radcliffe-Brown It's time to stop the fight. I know that some of my statements and texts were perceived by the leadership of the Yabloko party as unfair and offensive.

Didn't take into account the nuances
A bill has been introduced to the State Duma prohibiting abortions for married women without the consent of their husbands; the initiative came from the Rodina faction. If the law is passed, husbands will be required to confirm in writing their consent to an abortion. It seems to deputies that the current norm violates the rights of men, and by correcting it, they will fulfill Putin’s “testament” to increase the birth rate.

Roller coaster
The arrest of the leaders of the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (MHIF), the death of Movladi Baysarov in Moscow and the image troubles of the artist Alexander Kalyagin are events that outwardly have nothing in common. It seems, however, that there is still something in common. People who directly work for the authorities or have rendered serious services to them cannot count on immunity from serious troubles.

Don't be sorry for your image
Alisher Usmanov, director of Gazprominvestholding, is going to buy Gazeta.Ru. Usmanov once called the scandalous purchase of Kommersant a good “image” investment. Obviously, for the sake of his image, Usmanov literally doesn’t feel sorry for anything: first he bought 50% of the 7TV channel, and now Gazeta.Ru.

Actions only
Today at about 12:00 Maria Gaidar, coordinator of the youth movement "YES!" and Yabloko youth leader Ilya Yashin descended from the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge and unfurled a banner “Bring back our elections, you bastards!” The guys, using professional climbing equipment, hung at a height of 7 meters above the ground, holding an anti-Kremlin poster in their hands, without any experience. With their action they are calling for a boycott of anti-democratic elections.

Cotton beard
“Greenpeace” against Santa Claus - this willy-nilly attracts attention. If only because Greenpeace is not an Orthodox Church that fights both Santa Claus and Baba Yaga. Greenpeace is a serious organization; it has no time for nonsense. Moreover, she herself really exists, but Santa Claus (take the children away from the screen!) does not. And yet, this is not a hoax, but a real scandal, although environmentalists address the bearded wizard in their letter in an extremely respectful tone.
